Panasonic Smart VIERA TX-P42GT30B 42-inch Full HD 1080p 3D 600Hz Internet-Ready Plasma TV, Another amazing Plasma!!

This is my 2nd panasonic plasma and i have to say it can be seriously very excellent. Picture quality is fantastic on higher def resources and very excellent on common def. I’d tried a samsung led panel just before opting for the gt30 and the change could not be much more noticeable. The gt30 provides cinema quality pictures. Outstanding selection of connections on the back again although the hdmi connectors are vertical so you may well want to commit in some proper angled hdmi cables if you will not want masses of stuff protruding from the rear. Has developed in freeview hd (operates terrific) and freesat receiver as nicely (also performs wonderful). Epg for both equally is a small unsightly but practical. Also supports playback from usb and hdd and recording to hdd direct from broadcast which is pretty great.

This merchandise is extremely superior in 3d and also 2nd, the 50′ offers it more of a sq. appear than a widescreen which i like. The 3d is very good applying dvd’s or 3d broadcast through a satellite box. Lots of inputs to include components, and the image program is very very good to. The device is reasonably gentle should really you have to transfer it at any time, it is also quite slim which gives theim, pression that you seriously need two people today to shift it. The viera solid is somewhat a waste of time until finally the web sites available are improved.

I acquired this to observe the rugby environment cup. It has a freesat tuner created in and i linked this to my old sky dish (no adjustment essential) and i was able to get hd from freesat together with the rugby on itv-hd. Breathtaking photo, no movement blur at all, seriously sharp. By considerably the greatest tv photo i have observed. I have connected netgear n600 wireless adaptor, is effective effectively and have also added usb difficult drive buffalo ministation 1tb usb. This also performs extremely perfectly, simply just set up the recording from the tv guidebook with a couple of clicks. No need to have for added recording box unless you want to enjoy a single channel and report yet another. Have not connected blue ray nevertheless, can’t hold out to see that. Its silent , no sound that i can listen to, warmish to contact (identical for all plasma tvs).

  • A Pleasure To Use
  • Very pleased. Plasma is definitely not dead!
  • Stunning Picture Quality if you get a good one!
  • Another amazing Panasonic Plasma!!
  • If using with PC read this
  • It got 5 stars because I can’t give it 6!

Have to say to start with that i am incredibly impressed with amazon, i requested this on the saturday night at about twenty:thirty and it was despatched on sunday, sent on monday with free supply. The specific offer on beat the other sellers i was on the lookout at to purchase this tv, so with the income i saved can now invest in a decent stand for the tv. Set up of the tv was straightforward and i couldn’t believe how mild it is, this is my very first flat panel tv so am simply impressed. If i have a single criticism it is that the connections on the back again for the ethernet and satellite connectors appear to be a small tight, i experienced to bend my community cable at fairly an angle to get it to fit in the alcove in which the connector is. If you have a more compact rubber molded ethernet connector this may not be an problem. With the sky connector i found it irritating hoping to screw the socket on, this could be much easier with scaled-down fingers. Incredibly small criticisms but thought i would point out it. Auto set up was finished in about 5 minutes, i then had to go on to viera forged to see what that was all about and was greeted with a ‘new application obtainable would you like to update?’.Just after reading some opinions about firmware updates fixing difficulties i believed i might get this accomplished now and get it out the way.

Truthfully get this tvjust get it. I bought this tv soon after sending back a lg led tv(lm660t) which i wasnt satisfied with. This had a tv of the calendar year award and i listened to plasma’s where the most effective for motion and i check out a hell of a ton of sports so i went for it. A few months later on and i haven’t received any faults. Im continue to impressed by the image high-quality and its even now the most effective tv i have ever witnessed. It looks unquestionably wonderful far too.

Straight absent let me say i did not obtain this from amazon as they wasn’t extending the 5yr warranty supplied by panasonic right until june thirtieth but given amazon’s name i would have experienced they done so. It was not intended to be this way this is my 3rd panasonic plasma having previously owned the 42px60 & very last yr’s 42g20, this time i was established to make the leap to led or so i believed. Although i would not try to impress with an in-depth overview i will depart that to the specialists who are considerably far better skilled than myself to offer an pro viewpoint (a list of which can be located at the base of this web site) but what i will consider to do is offer a summary of my working experience. As beforehand mentioned this time i was determined to invest in an led flatscreen having come to the summary they’ve been out a few off yr’s now therefore they have had the time to perfect & tweak the know-how based on user evaluations/experience suggestions. The two led products i whittled it down to ended up the sony 55nx813 & the samsung ue55d6530 primarily based on price tag, general performance & appeal, this summary just isn’t a criticism of both maker only the technological innovation to a lesser extent. Guaranteed there’s a put for led tv’s i’d even go as considerably as to say if you are in the market for a forty-46ins tv you could not go significantly wrong with a person, but it can be when you get to fifty-55ins things begin to alter substantially. Since it is at this place i imagine edge lit tv’s start off to achieve the limit of there abilities in the kind of panel uniformity, clouding & backlight bleed. In very simplistic conditions how to gentle the middle of the display from the edge all over a foot absent in a dimly lit scene, one thing that when it goes mistaken highlights the viewers notice to element line of sight & can wreck the complete immersive knowledge. That is not to say it truly is all poor with led’s because get it proper & images can seem certainly wonderful.

I purchased this tv along with 3d blu ray player in the boxing day sale. They have replaced an 8 yr outdated 37′ panasonic vierra set (not hd) and the difference is astounding. I was usually amazed with the picture top quality of the outdated plasma established but the new a person is amazingand the whole set up only cost a third of the cost of the previous tv. Hd is fantastic but the 3d is out of this environment. The tv and blue ray arrived in a couple of days, but i was informed the eyeglasses would not arrive for 2 months, they came in just about two weeks. I have no grievances in anyway with the tv and amazon as always sent in double rapid time and at a priceno one particular else could get shut to.

Although the packaging was smashed to smitherines the tv appears to have servived undamaged. The damage i beleive was due to the carrier insisting it’s driver handled this heavy tv single handed. As with all the panasonic equipment i have experienced this tv is very good indeed. Handles standard pictures very well and has outstanding 3d and hd.

Honestly get this tvjust get it. I bought this tv after sending back a lg led tv(lm660t) which i wasnt happy with. This had a tv of the year award and i heard plasma’s where the best for motion and i watch a hell of a lot of sports so i went for it. A few months later and i haven’t got any faults. Im still amazed by the picture quality and its still the best tv i’ve ever seen. It looks absolutely awesome too.

I very much wanted to like this tv. The picture quality was good and had very good black levels. Unfortunately on any bright scene there was a very annoying flicker. A few family and friends also noticed this. I have read that panasonics are known for flicker and basically you either notice it or you dont. It was to much for me though so had to return it.

We are pleased with the performance of the two viera televisions we purchased last month and i would be happy to recommend them to anyone thinking of purchasing a plasma tv with both freeview hd and freestat hd.

Another amazing panasonic plasma. Title says it alli have had a number of panasonic plasma’s over the years and they keep getting better. I have run this for nearly 200 hours and the picture is the business. Gaming and hd images are stunning, blu rays in thx mode are impressive. Infact, what ever you are watching this tv makes the best of everything. 3d is excellent when watching stereoscopic inputs but the 3d conversion isn’t all that. Out of the box the picture is good but trust me, it gets better. Worth mentioning that the fan noise and plasma buzz does reduce after about 100 hours. 3x usb’s, sd card, ethernet, wireless, 4x hdmi, digital out and the list goes on.

And i haven’t even seen the 3d. The reason i am writing this review, tho, is that some, like me, might also want to use it to display images from their pc. I use it in my work, as it is a convenient way to display images and information for my clients to view. I have an older model viera, 37″, and when i hooked my pc up to it via hdmi, no problem. The computer display was replicated on the tv automatically. But when i hooked this model to the pc, i did get an image.

This tv was perhaps the best buy i’ve made in a long time, probably since my sony pvr a few years ago. Buying from amazon made the tv cheaper by about £200 compared to other outlets, however the downside was the warranty (or lack of) which compared to jlewis, was perhaps the only bug-bear. Anyway, back to the tv (which i got with the panasonic blu-ray and 3d glasses package) which i must say has perhaps the best hi-def picture i’ve seen in a long time – based on my excursions into hmv and blockbuster where they have pittiful hd tvs playing in the background. Cue a small chuckle of satisfaction at splashing out the cash on the gt30overall, great features, the only real down side being the viera connect, which is getting better. In this context i’d get the net gear usb (also available on amazon) as there is absolurley no need to go for the overpriced price panasonic version – don’t be a suckerthe 3d is however fantastic, especially with bespoke 3d films like hugo and avatar (the latter which was free with the tv), as well as the star wars box set which was free with the dvd player – ca-ching. Anyway, while the more miserable members of my friends and family (small minority) said the glasses hurt their eyes, they’re actually really comfy and do the job suprisingly well – also being rechargable (plugging straight into the telly) while not in use/ whenever you need to try them. One thing i haven’t managed to do is to utilise the free-sat/ freeview hd as these services aren’t yet available in the distant land of north yorkshire, just yet. I will however be ranting about my tv even more (to the annoyance of my mates) once i’ve ticked this box, as i’m sure the gt30 will look excellentwhile some goofs might complain about the sound, it was pretty obvious that most people willing to invest in a tv of this price range are also – as well as being imagephiles – more likely to be audiophiles, and therefore possess the necessary equipment to plug this baby into.

Very pleased with the tv but i’m not going to review it – there are plenty of other reviews that will tell you exactly how good it is. I’m writing this review to give a big thumbs up for amazon’s delivery service. I placed the order at close to midnight on a friday and the tv was delivered the following monday at 8 am.This was with the free super saver delivery option. Very pleased with the service, thank you amazon.

Panasonic, you get what you pay for-the best. I recently purchased this tx-p50st50b smart viera 50 inch plasma tv and its the best tv i have ever seen(far better than any lg or samsung model)i paid £1100 but it was worth it as i had a free 5 year panasonic warranty with the tv purchased. I tried the 3d first to see how clear and sharp the picture is and it was awsome-i used my ps3 to play my 3d movie but i intend to get myself a panasonic 3d bluray player. (i have just ordered the dmp-bdt120 3d bluray player for only £139. )i have a sony bluray player and tried my bluray films on it and i was not disapointed with the picture qaulity. And i was amazed with the sound-the speakers sound amazing when you watch a bluray disc, the best sound i have ever heard from a tv(i had this tv delivered and installed free by radiocraft in cardiff as part of the purchase and i wasn’t disapointed with the set up-excellant customer service from radiocraft)i had a lg 42 inch lcd full hd tv and this panasonic is a far better tv-i have put my old lg tv in my bedroom, and everytime i choose to watch tv on my panasonic i quickly notice the improved picture and sound quality-i believe now that panasonic are the best for tvs and plasma and i will stick to purchasing just panasonic from now on. (i will never purchase a korean make ever again,i. Lg or samsung)you get what you pay for and this smart tv is the best tv i have ever seen. I highly recccomend this model.

Excellent purchase – best buy yet. Brilliant picture and sound quality, especially with hd facility. 42″ screen makes viewing such a difference in my room only wish i changed earlier. No complaints with the service from a panasonic product.

Fluctuating brightness?, i don’t think so. . This was an upgrade from a panny v10 plasma and all i can say is ‘oh yeah’. This tv is is spot on and kicks the [email protected] out of lcd. My only gripe would be the power consumption, as plasmas run quite warm compared to led lit lcd. But i think it’s well worth it for the improvement in picture quality and lower purchase cost.

An excellent piece of equipment. I already had a panasonic tv with inbuilt freesat but it was 32″ so wanted to upgrade and gave the other one to my son before we went digital in the south-east. We are very pleased with our new purchase and the price paid was exceedingly good value. Paid for next day delivery before 1pm but city link failed to deliver on time-on contacting amazon the courier charge was refunded immediately.
