Panasonic TH-42PX70, Brilliant in both standard and high definition, great for gaming!

Breathtaking photograph – wonderful upscaling. This was the television that converted me to plasma. I was hunting at liquid crystal display but was stunned at the quality and depth of picture this tv had. I push it from sky hd and from a common dvd participant. The tv has phenomenal upscaling abilities and helps make all resources seem remarkable. There are no movement artifacts and it is terrific for each movies and activity. The crafted in freeview picture is also considerably much better than i have got from any of my standalone receivers and makes the image on the 32′ sony trinitron it replaced appear poor in comparison. Considering the fact that acquiring this the price tag has dropped and i am at the moment obtaining a further to exchange my other principal established.

Fantastic for sd and hd, but confined connections. This plasma is excellent for common def broadcast as opposed to other tv’s, hd is gloriously loaded and in-depth on the other hand my only gripe is the restrict of 2 hdmi’s, and no electronic optical output. (as with most flat screens sound is flimsy. )this tv is only 1080i having said that the viera photo motor re masters this so the stop final result is essentially better than 1080p tv’s i have seen. Blacks are stable and black, alternatively of blue like much less expensive ones.

This peice of know-how is fairly merely incredible, the 1080i upscaling is excellent, all hd formats work correctly and are flawless even as opposed to total 1080i tvs, unless of course your an eagle or have an eighty inch monitor it is scientificly not possible to see a big difference. Freeview – brill, all channels do the job great with a hundred% signal quality. Connections – all neccasary ports are there, a usb would be helpful, but you would have to slap an additional £100/two hundred for these luxuries and apart from, all formats can go throught the vga link the tv has :)i bought all this, with the avaerage lifetime span of a plasma becoming ten a long time for just £650 from amazon alone, thats £65 a calendar year for a complete hd.

  • Fabulous – you’d be mad to buy anything else.
  • Outsanding television
  • Brilliant in both standard and high definition, great for gaming!
  • Stunning picture – great upscaling
  • Brilliant Plasma !!!!!!
  • Simply Superb 5 years on

I am in the process of advertising mine as i’m building the significant action up to 65′ 3d but will say that devoid of a question this was the very best tv i’ve owned, even by today’s specifications it nonetheless spanks most tv’s, and do not hear to the whingers, the colors are best, blu-ray films glance gorgeous and i’ve not experienced one single issue with it in 5 a long time. Not completely positive i even want to offer mine.

I was lucky ample to see it alongside side other offerings from samsung / sony / toshiba (the two lcd and plasma) and it gained hands down. I used some time messing about with the photo settings (the delivery defaults are not the most effective) and this was very straightforward to do. I would keep away from the ‘dynamic’ photo mode, it’s just way too garish for my liking. Invest in just one nowand at this price you cannot go incorrect.

Amazing in the two common and superior definition, terrific for gaming. After obtaining this tv for a fantastic total of time, and working with it for various duties i experience i can now genuinely give a truthful review. Typical tv:with hd on the horizon it really is wonderful to know that the huge, shiny new hd tv you purchase will deal with sd images effectively, without having breaking up or showing up also fuzzy. I can clearly say that the image on this tv is crisp and continuous. Compared with a whole lot of lcd tv’s i’ve experienced activities with, the picture on this plasma has not broken up as soon as. Colors are vibrant, primarily as a result of the in crafted freeview, and distinction is excellent. High deff tv:i can only repeat what i claimed for the sd photo high quality, apart from possibly that hd usually takes absent tough edges, has very apparent enhanced clarity and depth. The colors are even a lot more outstanding than in sd, and i only hope hd rolls out faster than it previously is. Designed in freeview:with more compact less expensive tv’s i have got, i often observed the designed in freeview to be quite poor, even so the created in freeview on this tv is even greater than the independent set major boxes i’ve utilised. The most effective non hd photo is to be had by way of this developed in freeview, it’s even much better than the image i get by means of sky.

I’m continue to in awe of this television. I spent 3 months studying and reading testimonials prior to producing the choice. I was seeing the selling price all the time from different merchants and with the aid of a cashback web-site (5%), a voucher code, and 4% cashback credit rating card, bought this with pedestal stand for £731. The high quality employing cable tv, a top quality dvd participant and xbox 360 is extremely, really remarkable and when the hd channels is on, the television’s chip handles it all brilliantly even even though it is not a comprehensive hd 1080p television. Until you have the most astounding vision you never need 1080p for usual daily viewing. And all the tv firms have stated that they will not be transmitting 1080p in the up coming ten many years. Invest in this television, you will not regret it.

I’m in the process of selling mine as i’m making the big step up to 65″ 3d but will say that without a doubt this was the best tv i’ve owned, even by today’s standards it still spanks most tv’s, and don’t listen to the whingers, the colors are perfect, blu-ray movies look gorgeous and i’ve not had one single issue with it in 5 years. Not entirely sure i even want to sell mine.

The greatest picture quality. . Wow, i’ve had this for some time now and the picture quality has not diminished over time. My son has skyhd and an hd screen, but i think my picture quality is as good as he is getting.

Great for sd and hd, but limited connections. This plasma is great for standard def broadcast unlike other tv’s, hd is gloriously rich and detailed however my only gripe is the limit of 2 hdmi’s, and no digital optical output. (as with most flat screens sound is flimsy. )this tv is only 1080i however the viera picture engine re masters this so the end result is actually better than 1080p tv’s i have viewed. Blacks are solid and black, instead of blue like cheaper ones.

Good plasma, bad specification and connection. I have bought this plasma tv from currys and very happy to find it so cheap. I was happy with the tv but my downe side came to the connection part and to the specification. The tv has a very good picture but thats it what you have to enjoy it. The digital receiver is very good as well for time being and the auto configuration on the setting it really work amazing well. If you have a shop or want to have this tv for diplay only it is the best but if you want to connect more hi-fi or other home gadgets i wish you luck with it. I would not recomend for a home user as it need more connection, like sound out, or jack-phono out, s-video connection and other connection. I have this tv for a months now but regreat it that i bought and will try to sell it probably. I will recommend buy a samsung as they are on the market and have better specification like pip and more extra connection. Good picture bad specifiaction and not enough connection.

I could not make my mind up on what tv to buy by reading the forums alone so i decided to buy an independent magazine which rated there best buys. Firstly i was surprised to see so many hd ready tv,s coming out top instead of full hd models and secondly most of them were plasma and not lcd. I bought this recommended plasma tv (from a high street shop free 5yrs guarantee) and boy what a tv it is, well done panasonic this tv rocks the picture is spot on on both on sky hd and on normal broadcasts too the blacks are excellent and the colours and definition are superb , i would definatley recommend this tv to anyone .

Brilliant in both standard and high definition, great for gaming. After having this tv for a good amount of time, and using it for various tasks i feel i can now truly give a fair review. Standard tv:with hd on the horizon it’s nice to know that the big, shiny new hd tv you buy will manage sd pictures well, without breaking up or appearing too fuzzy. I can clearly say that the picture on this tv is crisp and constant. Unlike a lot of lcd tv’s i’ve had experiences with, the picture on this plasma hasn’t broken up once. Colours are vibrant, especially through the in built freeview, and contrast is good. High deff tv:i can only repeat what i said for the sd picture quality, except maybe that hd takes away rough edges, has very noticeable improved clarity and depth. The colours are even more brilliant than in sd, and i only hope hd rolls out quicker than it already is. Built in freeview:with smaller cheaper tv’s i’ve got, i often found the built in freeview to be very poor, however the built in freeview on this tv is even better than the separate set top boxes i’ve used. The best non hd picture is to be had through this built in freeview, it’s even better than the picture i get through sky.

Fabulous – you’d be mad to buy anything else. . Had this tv for just over a week, all i can say is that it is awesome. I considered many tv’s at this size (40″-42″), you have some compelling offerings from lcd with sony and samsung leading the way, and plasma with panasonic, samsung and pioneer if you want to spend a little more money. The big debates were as follows :- standard definition tv. Whilst new tv’s are in most cases hd ready, we all still watch standard definition unless we subscribe to sky hd or the similar offering from virgin. I had real concerns over whether a large screen could handle presenting this kind of picture well. All i can say is that this plasma produces great standard definitation pictures from my sky+ box. Sky transmit better quality pictures for their main channels and lower quality for the fringe channels. Bbc, itv, sky sports etc delivers as good if not better pictures than my old 100htz crt picture. The other less know channels are not as good.
