Panasonic TH-42PX80B : Stunning colours

Im however waiting around for the four screws for the tv basegot four waiting around for the other 4 to appear.

Purchased this model three yrs in the past and its nevertheless exceptional. When i perform a dvd in hd cant notice considerably big difference from its typical display mainly because the quality so goodthe built in sd card is wonderful to overview photos with. Cant say anything at all bad about vendor i utilised credit card and was shipped 2 or 3 times afterwards.

I knew this was a fantastic established from the research i did all above the web and i have found extremely tiny adverse said about it. It truly is even additional satisfying when you get one particular. The people previously mentioned have claimed most of what i would say. It truly is a genuinely awesome set at a deal price tag. If you need to have a set get a person in advance of they have long gone, they will never dangle all around at the cost they are now george. Here are the specifications for the Panasonic TH-42PX80B:

  • 100,000 Hours Panel Life

  • 15,000:1 Native Contrast
  • V real 3 technology
  • 100Hz dual scan

First time residing with a large plasma tv, & absolutely loving it. This tv has a superb image high quality. Also it has to be reported that the shipping and delivery company was incredibly fast. From ordering on tues eve to delivery on thurs morning i could’nt fault & not very long before xmas much too. You can observe your order all the time & see where it is at a specified time.

Excellent price 42′ widescreen hd ready tv. Soon after paying out much time and hard work exploring for a 42′ widescreen hd ready tv, i finally settled for the panasonic th-42px80b. I have not been dissapointed. The quality even on freeview is pretty great with very little to none movement blur as experienced by the exact sized liquid crystal display screens i have considered. If like me you are not likely to use the set for gaming needs there is very little to obtain likely for a 1080p. Help save your money and shell out it updating your dvd participant. When viewing dvds the photos are wonderful. This tv nicely deserves the five stars. This tv has obtained a few ideal tv awards this year.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • The TV is human friendly again with clarity and rich colour depth without saturation
  • This Years Best Offer.
  • So impressed also bought the 37″ version as a gift
  • Fantastic value 42″ Widescreen HD Ready TV
  • Had one for 5 years, still as good as new
  • Stunning colours

So impressed also bought the 37′ model as a present. Immediately after a lot study i sooner or later realised that i could not justify the further £500-£600 on the full hd model when the testimonials of this tv have been so superior. Following having delivery and setting it up, properly, plugging it in, the tv does the rest, i have to say i’m persuaded i’ve make the correct selection. I’m not definitely a gamer and i you should not observe blu-ray so failed to see the position in 1080p for me. The freeview and sky pics are wonderful. Bbc and sports broadcasts in unique are a revelation, the us open golfing and olympics ended up amazing. What did i do with the income i saved?. I purchased the 37′ version and gave it to my parents.

Like others i also bought this following looking through numerous good critiques. The colors are completely beautiful – the blues when watching some of the modern crimes dramas are stunning. The hd is also wonderful – i have not owned a tv with the full 1080, but there is definite clarity and depth when seeing a hd channel as opposed to typical definition.

Had one for 5 years, still as good as new. I have had one of these for 5 years now and can thoroughly recommend them. The one thing that is always noticeable are the depth and richness of the colours, don’t laugh but take a show like strictly come dancing with all its colour and lights it is the most wonderfully rich thing to see on this tv. My only issue with it is the light sensor, rarely, the tv will suddenly display a bright picture, lets say a scene with a lot of white clouds and the tv will then turn down the brightness as it senses too much light and you do notice it. Thankfully its a rare thing. There is no way to turn that sensor off or adjust it. But trust me, its a minor thing. Sound is ok for a tv, if you want better get a sound system. The remote is ok too, it does have a kind of child lock built in, where you have to hold down the power button or it won’t turn on, which will be handy for some. But above all its the image, the thing your buying it for that is what this tv is all about and it is excellent i can say that.

I’ve just sold my lg 42pg3000 – 42″ as the picture was weird – perfect on games, acceptable with dvd’s but really poor with tv. My wife already has a panasonic th-42px80b which gives a great picture at all times, so i’ve just bought myself one to replace the lg (mine is used for xbox, wii and watching formula one – they both use the same ariel so that’s not the fault). My only complaint about the panasonic is that you can’t change the size/font size of the menus, and the tv guide replaces the current program, so you can’t check what’s on while continuing to watch. But the picture is what matters to me so thoroughly recommend it.

Like others i also bought this after reading many positive reviews. The colours are absolutely stunning – the blues when watching some of the modern crimes dramas are dazzling. The hd is also fantastic – i have not owned a tv with the full 1080, but there is definite clarity and detail when watching a hd channel compared to standard definition.

Freeview/standard definition is surprisingly clear although some channels are better than others. Have used with blu-ray and the picture is simply stunning. On screen menus are simple to use and nicely laid out. If i was to be really picky the only bad point i have found so far is that you need to point the remote control almost directly at the receiver on the tv for it to work. Apart from this i would recommend this plasma tv, it has given me hours of film/tv enjoyment, well done panasonic.

This tv was bought to replace an aged samsung crt that had gone to the great tv land in the sky. We looked at all the reviews on amazon, and after some deliberation decided on the panny. Fast delivery, easy to set up, and excellent picture quality. The panny is simply the best tv in this price range.

This product is excellet , with sky hd i am not moving out of the vision. I am totally happy with th42px80b , the clarity is simply brilliant and hd channels are stunningly clear. I connect the laptop over the hdmi cables and see the movie with 1080i which is mindblowing. You will not be disappointed if you go for this.

You will spend a fortune on popcorn . This tv is amazing, incredible, stunning. The superlatives abound , particularly so given its price in the jan 2009 sales. The picture quality on sd signal through the integrated freeview is outstanding and makes me think that the 3 month wait for my sky hd+ box will not be too inconvenient. If you think its worth spending an extra £400 on the 42pz then you are clearly not short of a bob or two. Buy this tv now and enjoy the cinema each evening.

The tv is human friendly again with clarity and rich colour depth without saturation. My last panasonic was an lcd and the picture was nothing less than stunning, even in sd it looked like most hd lcds so this plasma was going to have to work hard to impress. The one thing about lcd is that no matter how good your lcd is, its just not got that soft, human, warmth that a crt gives you. Maybe its something to do with contrast or colour depth but lcd just feels different and personally i have never been 100 percent happy with it, though some are better than others. This plasma removes that feeling totally. It is warm and human friendly, tv seems natural again. Its like welcoming back the blue smartie now its all artificial colour free, know what i mean?. Lol pictures are sharp, colour is so deep you’ll cry and black is well, for all intensive purposes, black. There isnt a lot more they can do to make blacks any blacker, reds are rich and deep and blues are a delight. It weighs the same as my old 32inch lcd which is amazing and the fact that it has 3 hdmi ports is just the icing on the cake.

I bought this tv after studying lots of reviews on a wide variety of plasma and lcd tv’s. I was curious to compare the 2 technologys and went to comet and currys to view them. I quickly realised plasma was a more natural picture than lcd and left wanting to buy this model despite the shops model not displaying a very good picture. I trusted all the positive reviews i had read and i certainly didn’t regret it. The picture quality is exceptional even on freeview and dvd’s are even better. I am looking forward to buying a ps3 to play blu-ray dvd’s as playing games on it with an x-box360 is vastly superior to a non hd tv. Sound was also a pleasant surprise so i don’t feel the need to go out and buy a surround system. All in all if you choose this model you will not be disappointed as the contrast and sharpness are superb and it makes you wonder how buying a more expensive tv could be justified.

We had to look in to a replacement for a 2 year old hitachi 37ld6600 which gave up the ghost and would have cost around £500 to repair. After a lot of consideration of all options (including samsung and sony lcd’s), we plumped for the 42px80b. We’ve had it a week and all i can say is that it was really worth the money.Obviously, still in the process of ‘burning’ the screen in, but picture quality in both normal and high definition is outstanding, particularly when it comes to dark and contrasty scenes where most lcd’s won’t compete. I can’t wait until the ~200 hours of burn-in are up so that i can turn up the contrast and brightness. Sound quality from the set isn’t bad, and certainly better than i expected from a flat panel, but it isn’t too much of an issue as we’re using a home cinema set-up. Other things worth commenting on are the solid build quality (nice to see a metal back panel and really decent connection to the pedestal), connectivity and ease of use. Even the box that the set came in made the job of removing the unit easy (release a few clips and the bulk of the packaging slides off). Overall, i would heartily recommend this tv as long as you take the usual precautions that you would with any plasma.
