At last i’m up todate with my tvhad no idea about the difference in tv quality so i left the choose up to my son. As we all know these days the younger generation have it all sorted led, lcd, smart, etc. Seemed too confusing to me and a tv thats smart well i thought that was the appearancewell i’m well pleased good quality picture as well as looking good. The panasonic fits the bill.
Spent much time checking out reviews and comparable products but have been weaned away from sony tvs and dont regret it for a minute. This product has superb colour, good sound, all the connectivity one could realistically look for, looks nice – all in all a great product, and with the bluray recorder we are well set up for watching/recording tv,films, photos etc. Must also say i ordered this on a friday, it was delivered on a monday and the courier even sent an email to advise the 1 hour time slot for delivery and he was there within 10 minutes of the start of the period. What more can you ask for, well done.
After two months of having this smat/led/tv just one thing to say excellant product. I came to know about this tv after doing many tech specification/price/features comparison research over the internet. Finally i shorted some tvs and panasonic tx-l32et5b was on the top of my list. No surprise that it is having excellent rating/editors choice awards etc at many places. (example, see the comparison of 10 best 32 inch tvs in the world at techradar i found that their review is comprehensive. But even then, i was waiting for about two months for knowing how this tv turns out to me. I must say that i am happy that i have made the best decision. By this time, i have tried the smart features, internet connectivity, vierra network, connecting to laptop, playing movies from usb, etc etc. I must say, it is an excellent performer in all aspects.
Excellent tv if you don’t care about 3d. This is a great ‘little’ tv with the smart tv features of the more expensive panasonic range. Despite being at the bottom end of the panasonic range you can get cheaper 37″ tvs from other manufacturers. However, i do think the extra cost is worth it for the quality of product that you get. Basic set up was very easy (freeview hd) and i am more than pleased with the quality of the picture. Where i think this tv scores really highly is the smart capabilities. The standard iplayer, youtube functionality works really well without any real setup work. I also use mine to view streamed movies and music from a nas. I was amazed at how easy the setup for this was and how many file types/codecs it was able to play. This is the cheaper version of the 37″ tv with no 3d capability (something i really don’t like anyway) and does not come with built in wifi (you can buy the dongle at additional cost).

Strange behaviour on dark scenes. Initially seemed great but then it exhibited strange characteristics in dark scenes. As the scene gets darker, the whole picture is dimmed and its hard to see whats going on. You can see this happening in quick changing scenes. Its like the whole tv backlight dims and brightens – annoying. Also the brightness control is limited – its hard to get a really bright picture in the daytime even at full setting. There is another problem though i don’t know if its the set or signal – on freeview hd the lip-sync is out – the sound lags behind the picture by a fraction of a second – noticeable when people are speaking. This is top-end tv technology – why are there problems that our old crt 10 year old tv didn’t have?.
Excellent tv which i bought to replace an older, smaller panasonic. The picture on hd channels is fantastic and the sound is good enough for watching eastenders and emmerdale. Superb slim set – really like the black, wafer thin casing.
Pretty good but couple of points. This is certainly a good upgrade from my previous samsung 720p model. The overall picture quality of hd channels is excellent. As expected sd channels arent any clearer with this tv so dont expect sd channels to be any better than a 720p tv. I like the way the hdmi & usb ports are easily accessable on the left side of the tv rather than hiding a couple on the lower back of the tv. I like the external toggle so i can jump from tv to htpc in one press. One quibble is that there is no internal tv speaker mute. I wanted the tv sound to work solely from my soundbar because the soundbar and tv sound together has a noticibly bad echo. So you often have to check to make sure the tv sound is down to zero. My second and so far only other real quibble is that when you switch on the tv the default if the freeview section and and not hdmi1 where the cable is connected.
