A little disappointed as the sound quality is not great but will try shortly with a soundbar.
Does precisely what i needed it to do: handle freeview and freesat channels. Setup was easy and we had it linked to our wifi and tuning the satellite channels quickly.
I bought the 32′ sharp 32cfg6022k. The 1080p display is excellent, plenty bright and vibrant. People are always banging on about umc manufactured led displays being inferior, well i can’t honestly fault them. I have a samsung 6700 and a hisense m3300 4k screen as comparison, and i can’t see a difference between them. Sitting about 6 feet from the tv, both sd and hd channels look excellent, especially the sd channels (i’m used to blurry sd channels on my samsung 55′). Sound is fine as well (2 x 8 watts rms). The tv has a dvb-t2 tuner and a uk freeview or irish saorview setting, which means it can happily display the 7 day guide for either. The actual 7 day guide is not as slick as my samsung, but its adequate. It displays saorview teletext correctly. It also has a dvb-s2 tuner and can receive all the free to air satellite channels (i. Picture quality is surprisingly sharp and colours are also much better than average. Sound quality i would say is average but is still very useable. It is also very attractive looking with a pretty good screen to body ratio. As far as smart tv apps provided there is netflix youtube and bbc iplayer but no prime or anything else, though for most people (myself included) netflix, bbc iplayer and youtube is absolutely fine. The apps it has work really well with little lag, and i’m able to watch something on netflix in under 30 seconds. Would highly recommended to people looking for cheaper smart tvs, as there are some going for 100 pounds more.
Absolutely fine as a monitor, used it for 2 hdmi device, max resolution 1920×1080 pixels, audio volume more than okay for me. Freeview tv had some problems:1) noticeably more signal dropouts than my previous tv2) changing channel sometimes reports ‘ no signal ‘ retrying 1/2/3/4 times and it has worked. So far anywaysmart tv: i only looked at the free stuff and if you spent a bit more time on it than i did you may do better, but i couldn’t get the itv hub to load, search facility was useless, bbc’s player was okay and generally not impressed.
